    1. This book would have made a really great science fiction novel with a lesser romance component, frankly The world building is incredibly detailed and the epic conflict is amazingly set up Reading it as a romance novel, it actually worked really well yes, okay, love at first sight, etc etc and then bam, plot twist At that point I was hooked Why haven t I heard of this before I wondered.Well, because that s the point where the book kind of went all pear shaped Plot twist is followed by plot twist [...]

    2. Good universe building This could be a pretty awesome sci fi all by itself The romance aspect could have been better it seemed like it was betrayal, after betrayal, after betrayal with these two I didn t buy the love with all of those ulterior motives and alternate loyalties It was impossible for them to trust one another Also, the language and the detail was a bit much for me to follow It was very intricate so much so that it got confusing after a while trying to figure out how was who and what [...]

    3. Krinard is a good writer she has a very good way with words and excels at writing descriptions that are rich but not overly detailed The universe she s created is also very interesting I like science fiction cultures that are based on the Earth that was concept, and I liked how she incorporated names from Earth mythology The plot itself was convoluted, however a major and I mean MAJOR plot point suddenly popped up about six chapters in with very little hinting beforehand I understand that even t [...]

    4. Book 5 of the Reading Challenge 2016 a futuristic romance I didn t know what to expect from this book and in the end it was not as bad as I feared it might be I couldn t help feel amused in between with all the different species, shaauri terms, space travel terms, sex with telepathic links, etc However, I doubt that I will read another book from this genre

    5. I enjoyed the book,I liked the main characters which kept me trusting them through all the twists and turns But the book had my favorite kind of hero, one who has tested in a variety of ways loses somes fights but wins the ones that count.

    6. Although this is readable I didn t think it lived up to the promise of the short story in Out of this World.
