    1. I think it s a rule that holiday books come in verse, so it s either done well or not well, and this one is done relatively well I have qualms with the idea that a polar bear could have 5 cubs, or that a cat could have 10 kittens, but there again I suppose this North Pole Christmas counting book can have some inaccuracies That s why I m giving it a 4 The illustrations are precious though.

    2. Super cute story I loved the way the stanzas were grouped and structured Very clever It starts with little elfie one and his mom they are elves and counts up to ten, including nine reindeer and other fun creatures My kids liked the story I liked the flow It was a fun read

    3. This was a really cute Christmas book It s actually a counting book and has a fun little rhyme to it I liked that this is one of the few stories that accounts for Rudolph also The pictures were soft but colorful My daughter really enjoyed looking at them and pointing things out and helping to count the number of animals or elves, etc that were on each page. This is a fun read at Christmas time.

    4. SUMMARY This is the blurb as advertised From carolers to snowmen to stars, everyone s favorite Christmas characters sing, shiver, and shine their way through the North Pole in this festive holiday twist on the beloved nursery rhyme Over in the Meadow ILLUSTRATIONS The illustrations were created in watercolor They are soft and fuzzy giving them a Christmasy feeling while also very colorfulVIEW I have to admit, I didn t get this book at first and was going to lower the stars until I read that it i [...]

    5. This review posted at The Children s Book and Media Review run by Brigham Young University.Everyone is busy getting ready for Christmas in the North Pole One elf celebrates by leaping and laughing Two little mice nibbled and gnawed Three gingerbread kids run Four little carolers sing songs Five polar bears swim and dive Six little snowmen shiver, seven little stars wink, Santa calls his eight helpers, and then he flies with his nine reindeer As everyone gets ready to celebrate Christmas, Little [...]

    6. This was another adorable book that I am extremely glad we have added to our home library All of the Christmas elements are present and illustrated in the sweetest way My son loved counting all of the characters He especially loved the gingerbread men The rhyming follows the same rhythm as Ms Jane s other holiday book It flows really well and makes it extremely fun to read The hubs and I fight over who gets to read this one too It s an all around great book.Rhyming is always a hit with littles M [...]

    7. Set to the nursery rhyme of Over in the Meadow , various characters prepare for Santa s visit as we count up from one little Elfie to ten little kittens Bright water color illustrations bring this rhyming story to life as the reader sings the words to the story time crowd The writing is very descriptive and the rhymes are darling If you are looking for a new twist on Christmas stories, try this one I can easily see the children attempting to mimic the presenter in this story telling Recommended [...]

    8. This is a counting book from 1 10 and a holiday Christmas themed story It follows the tune of Over in the Meadow and has a fun way of telling the story of the elf and the other arctic animals getting ready for Santa s night ride Cute holiday choice for a picture book.

    9. A book that can be sung to the tune to Over in the Meadow and a counting book too, that depicts all the fun to be had getting ready for Christmas at the North Pole.

    10. All the familiar characters and trappings of Christmas are colorfully illustrated, rhyming picture book about the holiday A great one for story time.
