    1. This is a book that you must read slowly Not because it s difficult, but because these simple and foundational truths will have you sitting in bed with your mouth hanging open Or dope slapping yourself Or crying Or laughing out loud literally and sharing that nugget on Facebook or Twitter Do we have a right to be angry Is it true that without anger we can t do anything worthwhile Brant Hansen addresses these questions Personal stories, along with scripture and other references, do a very good jo [...]

    2. First off, let me say that there is nothing new in this book Hansen doesn t unpack Greek words, apply some great philosophy or argument though he does enjoy both , or drop some serious theological knowledge on you What he does is point to the very heart of the Bible Love God, Love Others and explain what that looks like He discusses the stupidity of anger, the infinite value of humility, and the true source of our worth, our contentment, and our peace When my brother was little, he had trouble p [...]

    3. I m not really sure where to start with this reviewThis book was so challenging that I feel that I need to go through it again Mind you, it wasn t challenging on a readability level it was actually a relatively easy read as far as the words go It s the concept that challenged meI have no right to get offended, no right to righteous anger That s not an easy concept to grasp From the dedication To all those who want grace for themselves, but struggle to extend it to others Wait that s everybody , [...]

    4. So many people take offense to the point that anger is often seen as a socially acceptable emotion People spout their so called righteous anger across social media all the time, and Brant Hansen encourages us to wonder whether this should be the case As the host of a radio show, he s been the butt of offense many times I love the irate call from a listener who heard him say, The weather will be hotter than it should be for this time of year The caller ticked him off, saying, God always sets the [...]

    5. Though the concepts behind this book make the most sense when examined through the lens of the Bible, they are so other that I am actually a tad reluctant to label this as a Christian book Not that it s wishy washy far from it But the ideas presented here are so very antithetical to an error that seems to have become almost sacramental in Christianity both conservative and progressive that I m not sure where Brant Hansen s Unoffendable fits And that s a Good Thing. So what is this radical idea th [...]

    6. This book is a hard pill to swallow, but one that definitely needs to be taken.Letting go of all anger, bitterness, and resentment can be a difficult task but it s one that needs to be done in order to live a happier life, as well as a less stressful one By letting go, we can change the focus from oneself to serving others as Jesus served others Jesus loved us, and just wants us to love others as he first loved us Sounds easy, right Wrong It asks us to share our love even with EVERYONE, not only [...]

    7. God knew that I needed to read this book I was so captivated by the concept of being unoffendable that I stopped halfway through and let it sit for a few days, while I pondered the application to my life While the blurb on the back makes it sound like a secular self help book giving up our right to be offended can be one of the most healthy, simplifying, relaxing, refusing, stress relieving, encouraging things we can do , it s better than it sounds Choosing to be humble, not judging others but f [...]

    8. Unoffendable How Just One Change Can Make All of Life Better by Brant Hansen is very highly recommended life changing book Today I am choosing to not be offended.Hansen, in a very accessible, conversational style full of self deprecating humor, draws the attention of Christians to a Biblical truth that we may be ignoring We need to deliberately choose to not be angry, even righteous anger, and not take offense We need to take a step forward in our faith and walk with God and choose to be unoffen [...]

    10. Hey everyone I just finished reading this book as a pre release from a Christian radio host I have enjoyed listening to for several years now named Brant Hansen Page He is going to be releasing a great book called Unoffendable soon that is all about giving up our right to be offended when someone or something angers us It s an extremely challenging book that makes the premise that we do not have a right to our anger and that, actually, God calls us to give up our anger to Him The book challenges [...]

    11. I love Brant in general so that s the major reason for wanting to read this book I started reading it not knowing what it was about but knowing it would be good because Brant is awesome and he knows it Moving on I think everyone can relate to having deep anger issues towards someone that they can t fully forgive and just move on or are easily offended over the tiniest of issues This book resonates with my soul It helped me to examine my feelings of anger in a different way I am reminded that I m [...]

    12. This book was so well written for me that means easily readable, yet deep and not cliche I think Brant took a really beautiful idea that is so close to Gods heart and using examples from the Bible, shows us how to live free and actually full Being unoffendable is a scary idea to most of us because it s attached to pride and what we think is safety.Brant illustrates just how much better life can be without this burden, replacing it with a burden to just love people better And that s a burden wo [...]

    13. Unoffendable was one of the books that I saw when searching for Kindle eBook deals aff link and I just had to purchase It sounded so good that I couldn t pass up the deal I m so glad I did get it, since I absolutely loved it The book gave me a lot to think about and it s definitely true that if you choose to be unoffendable , life gets so much easier and better I highly recommend this book

    14. This book was excellent It s so relevant This book is great for so many reasons, but especially because it encourages readers to think less of ourselves and focus on others In doing so we will see what actually matters and how we can find joy in giving of ourselves to others just as Jesus did There is no need to be offended by petty things and shallow thinking when we have a vision of the bigger picture I m so thankful for this book and the insights in it Check out Twitter sometime You can see [...]

    15. Received advance copy from author Anger is extraordinarily easy It s our default setting Brant Hansen, Unoffendable. We are a society that loves to get outraged and angry Just look at Twitter or the comments section of Youtube You ll find people getting offended about everything and anything, even about something innocuous, like the correct way toilet paper should hang.I m also not innocent of this Even though I don t leave vitriolic responses on CNN articles, I struggle with anger and my temper [...]

    16. In this easy to read, straight forward, and often times very humorous book, Brant Hansen has written a fantastic, thought provoking work based on the idea that, as Christians, we do not have the right to be angry We should be, as he puts it, Unoffendable. For the past several years my family and I have been huge fans of Hansen. We listened to him faithfully when he was on the radio, and I still listen to him via podcast So despite my initial skepticism at the thought of giving up my right to being [...]

    17. Giving up your right to be offended is something that everyone needs practice at and this book has helped open my eyes and understand why we don t have a right to be angry Brant Hansen has inspired me for a few years as a radio tv host and I was so excited to be blessed with the opportunity to be on his pre launch team and read this early So reading this was a no brainer It is not a book you should zoom through, but reflect upon and read slowly and let it sink in Struggling with our right to an [...]

    18. The Good What an amazing book Brant Hansen takes oft ignored Scriptures, combines them with a bit of logic and reason, and shows us the true nature of anger While he adds in dashes of humor, his point is very serious there is no such thing as righteous anger Plus, Mr Hansen mentions that he has the same condition that I do, which is all the inspiring. The Bad Not a thing to complain about Conclusion Whether you re a church veteran or have been a Christian for all of a few days, you need to read [...]

    19. What if Christians were the least offendable people Once in a while I ll read a book that I know will stay with me forever It s not that I have such a good memory, but I will come back to this book in the same way I want to hang out with the wisest friend I know Brant Hansen has written Unoffendable How Just One Change Can Make All of Life Better Unoffendable challenges Christ Followers with something perhaps unheard of, that there is no such thing as righteous anger And after reading this I bel [...]

    20. I can t remember the last time a book made me think this much s humbling without being preachy, and it really makes a person stop and think about what is important in lifecially if that person chooses to be and professes the life of a Christian I know it sounds like a self help book, but it is so much than that This book doesn t promise any fantastic resultsjust gives you a plan for looking deep into your heart and choosing to love your fellow man the way Jesus taught us to in Scripture Excelle [...]

    21. This book is a real eye opener, especially for Christians, but honestly it can benefit everyone around the world If we could all apply the things in this books to our lives the world would be a much better place This book is a definite must read if you are struggling with issues of forgiveness, anger, or just how to treat people and react to opposing views I hope you take the time to read the book it is really worth the time.Brant blends his humor with with some tough stories It breaks down the [...]

    22. Brant is a down to earth man, as far as I can tell without meeting him in person I have heard him be a radio guy for years and after reading just a portion of the book, I truly am I heard of this book Brant puts anger being offended in a prospective that is not really looked at by society. The book is an easy read and is very funny I would recommend this book to any person who struggles with anger so basically every one to an extent.

    23. Preordered I CAN T WAIT to get this I ve been listening the Brant since he started on Air1, and I download his daily podcasts now that he s switched stations YOu can t go wrong giving him a try.

    24. This is written by a Christian author but it is relevant for everyone We live as if getting angry, annoyed or offended and venting it is an inevitable right Hansen posits that we are much happier and less stressed if we choose to be Unoffendable Doing so takes a posture of deliberate humility Hansen makes his strong case with scripture but I don t think a non Christian would disagree He is funny and to the point so it is a quick read.

    25. The first part of this book was life changing I took notes to keep with me and I wanted to tell everyone everywhere to read the book i didn t because that would be a bit obnoxious The second part was less impacting and I ended up skimming a lot and skipping pages So I guess it averages to 4 stars

    26. This is a book I need to keep reading and rereading constantly As Christians, we don t have the right to be annoyed or angered by others Simple as that Except it isn t that simple to put into practice This made a great study for our Sunday small group, and it really opened my eyes.

    27. Excellent, thought provoking, and challenging I read the book already agreeing with the topic but was additionally challenged by Hansen s reasoning and Biblical basis for letting go of our right to be offended.

    28. So we look at the world and we think Oh, the road rage and the internet unkindness and the short tempers and long grudges Oh it s all so unpleasant Yeah Now imagine if somebody boiled it all down to a personal challenge for you and for me Become unoffendable Take yourself right off the market of being mad, get off the bus to bitterness, deal with injustice without outrage That would be really hard And maybe really beneficial And maybe it s even got roots in the Gospel That s what Brant Hansen is [...]
