      • Jennifer Hansen

Jennifer Hansen Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Just One More book, this is one of the most wanted Jennifer Hansen author readers around the world.

    1. Whoever said too much of a good thing is bad never met Ruby Ruby is a sweet, adventurous, curious, happy go lucky little girl with a heart of gold and a desire to get out of life Sure, one ice cream scoop is great, but not as great as two One hair accessory would be okay, but wouldn t four look much glamorous One sip of mom s morning latte is a real treat, but Ruby should probably sneak just one sip in before she has to give it back Just One More has quickly become one of our favorite, daily [...]

    2. We received this book in the mail today from Dolly Parton s Imagination Library for my daughter It is such a cute, colorful book The illustrations are wonderful Each page has large lettering and few words which is perfect for one and two year olds It is about a little girl who wants just one of many things which at times can go wrong and other times can get stretched a little further than a parent may imagine I loved this book.

    3. It s a girl book talks about hair thingies but my 2 year old boy loves this one, so much so that he s added his own sound effects and has ripped its pages I do with the quality of the pages could withstand a toddler s abuse for this is the appropriate age for this book You ll likely have this book shoved into your last to be read just one time.

    4. Loved it I am not one that laughs easily, but couldn t quit laughing and Ruby at the end, where she was in bed. That was just too funny and cute Reminds me of someone when, eh hum, they or I mean I was little.

    5. Super Cute Illustrations are bright and colorful, my kids loved them The story has a great lesson that one is just enough Easy to read, my 8 year old has read it to my 4 year old over and over, they both thought it was silly and fun and remembered times they said the same things as Ruby.

    6. Little ones LOVE this story about wanting just one and will soon memorize it and read it to you The end papers showcase many ice cream scoop flavors, which are fun to peruse and point out a favorite or two or three.

    7. This book is about a young girl who always ask for just one In the book she comes to realize that she doesn t always need just one Sometimes one is enough This book would be fabulous to explain to kids that sometimes one is better than .

    8. This book is for very new readers It is repetitive It could also be used to help students understanding adding one item to something.

    9. Just one hair thingy Girl, we ve all been there preachHowever, why is it, Just one book before bed, and not, Just one MORE book before bed my emphasis This seems to encourage unmitigated consumerism, while simultaneously forcing abstention from knowledge and inquiry Ruby only reluctantly abates from her Britney Spears Gimme More mantra just long enough to request only ONE book at bedtime, leaving the bulk of the plot to peg whining for as cute and incorrigible Will she grow beyond her sociocul [...]

    10. Who can t relate to a young child wanting just one of something Or everything, for that matter That seems to be sweet Ruby s mantra one of this and one of that But sometimes a little bit goes a long way, and one is just enough Or is it Jennifer s Rolli s illustrations and color palette are beautiful I dare you to look into Ruby s eyes and not feel her emotions , and her simple text convey a story relatable to many young children and their caregivers Now, I don t know about you, but sometimes [...]

    11. What I loved about Just One More was that it was in both English and Spanish I will be honest I don t really read much in Spanish but I want to I want to so bad but I just don t get around to it So when the kids and I received this for our monthly book for the Dolly Parton Imagination Train, I really enjoyed seeing it in both languages The illustrations were wonderful and very colorful I also enjoyed the cute message of just one I deal with mommy just one ______ all day It was cute and adorabl [...]

    12. I read this book to my niece before nap time She seemed to enjoy it even though she has heard it many times I liked how it used repetition so children can read along if they wanted to I think this would be a good book for children to read when they are beginning to learn how to read since it is so simple I think the repetition would allow them to have confidence in what they are reading.

    13. Just One More is the story of Ruby who wants just one of everything until just one scoop of ice cream causes her ice cream cone to tip and she s left with nothing That s when Ruby decides that maybe just one of everything is okay I loved the soft brushed illustrations in this book and I thought it was really cute that when Ruby decided to have just one of everything it was the biggest bath toy she could find and the biggest, thickest book to read for a bedtime story So cute

    14. A bilingual book about a little girl named Ruby that just wants one until an Uh Oh happens and she learns that sometimes just one is enough except when it comes to kisses It s cute, though not memorable It s brief enough to be a great before bed read for my 2 year old, except for all of the images of ice cream, which causes a little too much distraction An Imagination Library pick.

    15. Simple, colorful and sweet without being condescending The lively illustrations will keep the attention of my preschoolers even most of the special needs crowd , and I like that the text is simple and large enough for beginning readers to manage most of the words, which is not often the case in picture books The topic is one that every child understands and can make a connection with, which is valuable in those early Reader s Workshop lessons.

    16. Fun story, quick read, bright illustrations Emphasizes a young girl s zest for life and, in some areas, the wisdom of moderation like one scoop of ice cream instead of towering scoops that go splat But one goodnight kiss Of course

    17. When just one scoop of ice cream proves to be too much, Ruby learns the joy and simplicity of just one.Oil paint illustrations are vibrant and full of great facial expressions Readers can dial into exactly how Ruby feels PreK 2.

    18. After reading my advance copy to my youngest, we both could totally relate to this book Joking about our own just one s and rereading it again again as the author wrote Love the lesson of sometimes ONE is just enough Already a favorite in our bedtime repertoire

    19. Just One More is a very cute little story about a young girl that is always asking for just one This book could be read by students or children that are at the beginning stages of reading It was very comical and cute and I think many children would enjoy this book.

    20. Beautiful, fun illustrations Love Ruby s innocence in harmless just one s until she sees sometimes one is overboardjust like we parents experience every day Love the ending when just one kiss is never too much.

    21. Little Ruby always wants one of just about everything until she learns that is sometimes too much Reviewer 7

    22. Helpful in starting a conversation about why moderation and limits are useful Ruby always wants one hairbow, bedtime story ice cream scoop.

    23. This is not a bad book, it just did not seem to be as attention getting as other books like it, and I have some tough critics This did not impress them too much.
